The pair accompanies the class on a school trip to an art museum where things take a dramatic turn for the worse and reach a deadly and frightening climax. Have the two private detectives been too slow at identifying what was right in front of them, or will they be able to pull it together at the last minute and make sure justice is delivered?
In the midst of all this, Peyton and Jackson are also dealing with a second, and much more personal, matter – the unspoken secret of Peyton’s childhood. Peyton is a man on a mission and no one will stand in his way. I enjoyed this book even more that the first one in the series. I would highly recommend it!
Book 2 is excellent. Fast paced and very well written with a terrific storyline. Looking forward to more books in this series.
Not as good as the first book, I fear. I still enjoyed the read but it was a lot more predictable. Based on the first book in the series and the author's obvious skill, I hold high hopes for the 3rd book, still to come.
This book was simply published too soon and without sufficient input from capable proofreaders and an experienced publisher.
Still, I enjoyed the story and urge the author to broaden his sources of input and feedback, even redoing books one and two to fix errors -- including glaring ones in book 2. (Hints Number of paintings consistent through all references and name of Peyton's wife accurate upon entrance to the classroom.)
I'm pleased to see a female given more to do, but would like to see women in positions of authority and even being heroic from time to time.
If I didn't see potential in this author, I wouldn't finish the book or leave remarks. He has good ideas, and just needs more input and refinement of his books prior to publishing.
Great follow up to the first book. Really enjoy the writing style which is reminiscent of Christie's lesser known detective's stories. Would love to read more in this series when available.
I read to be entertained if I'm not doing research. It's a fun book that makes your brain have a hiccup or two. I'm glad the author doesn't churn out book after book. However, I want a third book now!
THIS IS THE CONTINUATION OF THE FIRST BOOK. WHICH OF COURSE INTERDUCED US TO THE CHARACTERS. IN THE SECOND BOOK THE DETECTIVES ARR TRYING TO SOLVE A ART THEIFT WHICH THEY DO AND ALSO SOLVE ANOTHER MYSTERY. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING THE NEXT BOOK IN THE SERIES. EXCELLENT WRITER. I GIVE FIVE STARS.
